Wishlist Wednesday (#1)

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop. hosted by Pen and Paper where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it’s entirely up to you), that we can’t wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

Goodreads Description: Britt Pfeiffer has trained to backpack the Teton Range, but she isn’t prepared when her ex-boyfriend, who still haunts her every thought, wants to join her. Before Britt can explore her feelings for Calvin, an unexpected blizzard forces her to seek shelter in a remote cabin, accepting the hospitality of its two very handsome occupants—but these men are fugitives, and they take her hostage.

In exchange for her life, Britt agrees to guide the men off the mountain. As they set off, Britt knows she must stay alive long enough for Calvin to find her. The task is made even more complicated when Britt finds chilling evidence of a series of murders that have taken place there… and in uncovering this, she may become the killer’s next target.

But nothing is as it seems in the mountains, and everyone is keeping secrets, including Mason, one of her kidnappers. His kindness is confusing Britt. Is he an enemy? Or an ally?

BLACK ICE is New York Times bestselling author Becca Fitzpatrick’s riveting romantic thriller set against the treacherous backdrop of the mountains of Wyoming. Falling in love should never be this dangerous…

Why I Want This: I loved Becca Fitzpatrick’s Hush, Hush! I read that book back in middle school. I didn’t end up reading the other two books because I had to wait for them both to release and by them I forgot the details of Hush, Hush. But I’d love to get back into Becca Fitzpatrick’s work! And I am really pumped for this book. If it’s anything like how she wrote Hush, Hush, It will be fantastic!

WWW Wednesdays (#3)

You just have to answer three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What were you previously reading?
  • What are you going to read next?

I’m currently reading Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, I got for finishing a summer reading program. I’m also reading Allegiant by Veronica Roth, with my lover. I’ve been reading this one for forever, though so I’m not sure if it still counts!

Before Thirteen Reasons Why, I actually started to re-read These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner. But before that I read Every Day by David Levithan. That was a pretty good book. Not the greatest but very interesting. Click here for my review.

Honestly, I have no idea what I’m going to read next! I’m always open to suggestions, though!

Leave a comment and tell me what you are reading this week!

So originally I was going to have this be a vlogging meme. But this week I’m feeling so tired and I have a crapload of school work to do. I just didn’t get to the video. So I’ll be typing it up, and hopefully next week I’ll have an awesome video up!

I’m currently reading This Much Is True by Katherine Owen for a blog tour I’m participating in during the month of November.

I just finished reading These Broken Stars by Meagan Spooner & Amie Kaufman Which was super fantastically great! I loved the ending. But the beginning is a little bit slow. I loveeeee space though, the galaxy is so interesting to me. And I fell in love with Tarver, and I praise Lilac for her choices.

I think I’m going to read The Seacrest by Aaron Lazar next or either I’ll catch up on netgalley books and read Branded by Abi Ketner & Missy Kalicicki !

Top Tens Tuesday (#2): Top ten character names I love or find unusual

So Top Tens Tuesdays is run by The Broke and the Bookish

This week is Top Ten Books I October 22: Top Ten Character Names I Love or Top Ten Unusual Character Names

Elder from the Across the Universe by Beth Revis- Elder is not a name I love. Not at all. But it is VERY unusual. And I loved reading Across the Universe.

Reneseme from Breaking Dawn by Stephenie MeyerThis is also not a name I particularly like. I loved all of the books but once I got to the part where Bella had to decide what to name the kid…I don’t think she should’ve been the one deciding..

Eureka from Teardrop by Lauren Kate-I’ve been waiting for forever for this darn book to come out. And then a couple weeks ago I forgot about it. Now it isn’t on the top of my to-get-list. It’s a shame, Eureka is a name that I love and it’s equally unusual.

Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride-  I love, love, love, Inigo! Now this may be cheating but..I haven’t read the book. I’ve only seen the movie. But if it helps, I’ve watched that movie thousands of times! The Princess Bride is one of my favorites. To help even more, here’s a picture of the front of my laptop 😀20131022-014221.jpg

Elliot North from For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana PeterfreundSo I haven’t read this book *tear*. But I’ve heard sooo much about it! And it has been sitting on my to-read-list since forever. I think Elliot North is a pretty rad name. Although I don’t like the fact that it’s a girls name. I think it would be even cooler on a guy!

Skye and Asher from A Beautiful Dark by Jocelyn DaviesI’m ecstatic to say that A Beautiful Dark was a very good book. One of my favorites. It’s better than Hush, Hush and that is saying something. Angel books are what I live for! And Skye is such a pretty name. To top that, Asher is a very masculine name. Fit for Skye, I would say.

Lilac LaRoux from These Broken Stars by Amie Kauafman & Meagan SpoonerI just got done reading These Broken Stars a couple days ago and after seeing Lilac’s last name “LaRoux” I was instantly jealous! That is such an awesome last name! And the book was amazing, too.

Evangeline “Evie” Greene and Jack Deveaux from Poison Princess by Kresley ColeI haven’t read this book either. But like For Darkness Shows the Stars, it has been sitting on my to-read-shelf. Evangeline is such a beautiful name, how it’s said and how it’s spelled…it’s awesome, her last name is also anything but bad. Greene is pretty darn cool, like Winter or something with nature. And with that is Jack’s last name “Deveaux”. I love it! I can’t stop saying it out loud!! So these two fantastic names put together take the prize! #1
