Summary from Goodreads:
We’d both gone missing at one point, but Claire had one thing I didn’t. Someone to notice. So why was I the one still here and she the one still gone?

Nineteen year old Megan Smith has spent the past year working in a small town diner in the middle of nowhere. Life is quiet, simple, safe. Then comes the news that her look-a-like has gone missing.

Claire.

Still damaged both physically and mentally, Megan’s not looking to be noticed. Wherever she goes from here, it’s a road she needs to take alone. But when Nickolas Ellis takes the job as the new nightshift cook, it scares her how easily her defenses crumble down, down, down for him. But there are secrets she can’t bear to share with just anyone, unspeakable acts that continue to haunt, and when the similarities of Claire’s abduction couples with the fear of an unwanted visitor in town, the urge to run before it all happens again intensifies, threatening the only happiness Megan’s ever found.

New Adult Romantic Suspense / Realistic Fiction
Recommended for 17+ for mature and disturbing situations, language and sexual content.

My Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
My Review:
This is the first time I read a book about rape. And it got a lot of emotions out of me. The conflict kept changing, which was a little confusing, also due to the fact that I think there was more than one focus point.
I felt like I was in Megan’s footsteps. It was very vivid, I could picture everything that was happening in the book. But some of the thoughts that Megan was thinking didn’t seem like something a traumatized girl would think. Maybe Megan’s actions were a little dull and need to be brought up a notch. But I could be wrong because different people react different ways.
The pace of the book was just fine. And it wasn’t predictable at all. I really enjoyed the book and hope the next one comes out soon!

15 Day Book Blogger Challenge: Day 12 & 13

I totally forgot about this.. I was in the zone reading all day, I’m reading Nearly Broken by Devon Ashley and I am so close to finishing it! Although I only have 30 minutes, I’m just going to say that I’m posting Day 14 with Day 15 tomorrow..

15 Day Book Blogger Challenge | Good Books And Good Wine

Day 12: How do you deal with blogger fatigue?

I never really had it in the first place. I love blogging! Maybe because it’s still my first year, but boy I hope I don’t ever get it. I would hate to feel like I need to blog instead of just wanting to blog…

Day 13: Describe one underappreciated book EVERYONE should read.

I seriously have to think about that. I think all the books I’ve read and loved, were appreciated in the first place.

6933138[1]I mean I think maybe one of my favorite books that isn’t that popular is Warped by Maurissa Guibord

It’s a book for girls and boys. It’s fantasy and a love story, but there’s enough action in it for a guy. And I fell in love with the book. I wish there was a second one!

I'm just starting out; leave me a comment or a like :)
